John Sweeney

Born and raised in the prairies, John spent his summers growing up amongst the vast network of lakes and rivers, boreal forest, and wildlife in Northern Saskatchewan. After high school, he left home to seek warmer weather and waves around the globe, settling on Vancouver Island upon his return to Canada. John has been living in Tofino since 2019, and falls more in love with the region year after year. His favourite ways to connect with the land are through hiking,surfing, snorkeling, and paddling. John is always eager to share the history and ecology of the territories he calls home, and is grateful for the opportunity to share his experience and life on the coast with others.
