WHAT TO EXPECT
Activity Rating: MODERATE Disclaimer: Navigating across rough river rocks in remote wilderness areas can be extremely hazardous. The terrain is uneven, slippery, and unpredictable. River rocks can shift underfoot, leading to falls, sprains, or other injuries. The water currents may be strong and unpredictable, posing drowning risks. Before attempting to cross or walk on river rocks, ensure you have proper footwear with excellent grip and ankle support. Exercise caution at all times and move slowly and deliberately. Be aware of your surroundings, and assess the river's conditions, including water depth and flow rate. Avoid attempting crossings in severe weather or flood conditions, as they can increase the danger significantly. Prioritize safety above all else, and consider your own abilities and experience level.
