Please meet your guide at our office inside Storm Light Outfitters (390 Main Street, Tofino) 15 minutes prior to the tour departure time. The meeting location will be provided in your tour confirmation email.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Trail Length: 12 km (7.4 miles)Trail Elevation: 145 m (472 ft)Total Hiking Time: 5 hours + 1 hour lunch break (approx)Transportation Time: 1 hour boat transit Tofino to Flores Island and return (approx)Total Tour Duration: 8 hours (approx)

Activity Rating: MODERATE You will need a reasonable level of fitness to hike this trail. While it may not be as strenuous as difficult or advanced trails, it still involves some elevation changes that may pose a challenge to individuals with certain health conditions. You will need to be able to walk for 3-4 hours at a time on undulating paths. This hiking route is a mix of dense rainforest trail, rocky shoreline and sandy beaches. You will receive instructions and a full briefing by your experienced hiking guide before you set off. Contend with occasional steep section but primarily gradual. Few hazards such as exiting the boat onto slippery rocks, uneven terrain, and tree roots. Good mobility is required. By choosing to hike on a trail with a moderate rating, you acknowledge and accept the risks associated with outdoor activities.

To help you pack for your hike, we've prepared the following packing list. Weather conditions on the west coast of Vancouver Island are very unpredictable, so it is very important to be prepared with the correct equipment. Be always prepared to experience 4 season in one day! If you are missing something, you can purchase all of these items from our outdoor gear store at 390 Main Street, Tofino.
