Our Mission
With increasing numbers of people engaging in wilderness activities, pristine and fragile coastal and mountain environments will suffer rising impacts. As a professional user who benefits from these areas, our company and guides will make extra effort to minimize impacts, will set an example for other visitors and instruct our guests how to reduce impact. Our guides are stewards of the environment as a profession and assist local ENGOs with ongoing initiatives. We hope that this will help ensure that our local ecosystem will remain relatively unchanged for the future.

License to Operate
Long Beach Nature Tours is a locally owned and operated company. We have qualified for and purchased all of the permits and special use permits required to operate in park systems, including the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, Maquinna Provincial Park, Flores Island Provincial Park, Vargas Island Provincial Park, and Gibsons Marine Park.
Traditional Territories
We were also a proud advocate in creating protocol agreements with First Nations communities in whose traditional territories we operate. The agreements recognize another level of government, and their traditional territory. The agreements include fees paid to the local communities and clarify our stewardship principles, which fit the First Nations’ governments’ stewardship principles for their territories.
Safety Standards
Safety is always a priority when you're exploring in the wilderness. Our vessels and captains are all certified by Transport Canada which are more stringent than those of most countries in the world, our guides lead the industry standard for certifications and experience and as an eco-tourism company, protecting our environment is one of our top priorities.
