Join us for one of the best days of alpine hiking on Vancouver Island that you can imagine, starting with a stunning helicopter sightseeing tour! With little effort you'll be transported by helicopter up over the rainforests of Pacific Rim National Park and into the high peaks above Clayoquot Sound and into the Vancouver Island Alps. Our team of professionally certified ACMG guides choose heli-hiking terrain that suits your ability level and personal goals. Helicopter Hiking Tours (aka Heli hikes) can be for those wanting an easy trek with incredible views, or for those that want to tackle harder terrain. You will be dropped off with your guide where you'll enjoy the day of fantastic alpine hiking and mountain views in all directions.

DEPARTURE TIME

Please meet your guide at our office inside Storm Light Outfitters (390 Main Street, Tofino) 15 minutes prior to the tour departure time. The meeting location will be provided in your tour confirmation email.

Activity Rating: MODERATE If your tour is rated as “Moderate”, you will need a reasonable level of fitness. While it may not be as strenuous as difficult or advanced trails, it still involves some elevation changes that may pose a challenge to individuals with certain health conditions. This region involves steep slopes, rocky surfaces, and uneven off trail terrain. There are no official trails here. Ensure you have the necessary hiking skills and equipment, including sturdy boots and trekking poles. You will receive instructions and a full briefing by your experienced hiking guide before you set off. Good mobility is required. By choosing to hike on a trail with a moderate rating, you acknowledge and accept the risks associated with outdoor activities.

Weather conditions on the west coast of Vancouver Island are very unpredictable, so it is very important to be prepared with the correct equipment. Be always prepared to experience 4 season in one day!If you are missing something, you can purchase all of these items from our outdoor gear store at 390 Main Street, Tofino.
